Trevor Jalla

With two decades of live performance on the local and international scene, Trevor Jalla has established himself as one of WA’s finest exponents of roots music, incorporating elements of blues, soul and folk and is equally at home performing intimate club dates as he is festival stages.

A dynamic frontman on vocals/guitar, he has performed at Barcelona Blues Festival, International Blues Challenge/BB King's Club (Memphis), Buddy Guy's Legends (Chicago), East Coast Blues & Roots Festival and Blues at Bridgetown (WA). He has shared stage with the likes of Robben Ford, The Holmes Brothers, Finis Tasby (USA) and Enrico Crivellaro (Italy).

Locally, he is a makes regular appearances at The Perth Blues Club and The Ellington Jazz Club while his "Hourglass" James Taylor Tribute performances continue to garner critical acclaim. As an acoustic soloist, his residencies include The Left Bank, Bar Lafayette, The Windsor and more. His music can be described as a meeting point of Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, Eric Clapton and Ray Charles. However when the mood calls for it, 90s alt-rock and grunge is right up his alley.
 
As a songwriter, his compositions have been nominated for West Australian Music (WAM) Song of The Year (finalist 2000, 2006, 2007 – World Catagory). Whether playing solo acoustic at a club or fronting a concert lineup, Trevor’s profile and following continues to expand with every performance.
