MUFASSA

MUFASSA

MUFASSA originates from the foothills of the Sunny Coast in Queensland. His organic and sun soaked ‘Coastal-Roots' flavour pays homage to this beautiful and unique landscape, where hinterland waterfalls meet long white sand beaches.

One of the original front men of ‘The Floating Bridges’, Dale Mallett (aka MUFASSA) is a musical nomad, travelling the country and sharing stories through song, raising awareness and support for youth mental health, environmental protection & cultural connection.
MUFASSA draws influence from a multitude of musical storytellers including Mike Love (for his passion), Paul Kelly (for his honesty) and Archie Roach (for his legacy).

Fresh off a run of Pilbara (WA) shows and a quick stint in North & South-East QLD, MUFASSA is gaining momentum with his latest new-soul release 'Rain On Me.'

Written during the ‘Black Summer Fires’ of 2019/20, ‘Rain On Me’, the 2nd single from MUFASSA's 'Life in the Left Hand Lane' EP, is a smoky, heartfelt song calling for the rain to pour down and wash away our darkest hours.

In 2021, MUFASSA will be releasing a song every season, culminating in his 'Life in the Left Hand Lane' EP release with shows throughout QLD, SA & WA including key festival appearances at Strings Attached: The West Australian Guitar Festival!

“Always bringing in the lush summer vibes with a smile, this band never disappoints.” Nkechi Anele (Roots N All, Triple J)
