Eucalipto

Eucalipto

The carnival is coming to town!!

Eucalipto brings an energetic and vivacious music style that combines some clappy, happy, toe tappy, hip wiggly, foot jiggly rhythms and melodies with some sweet vocal harmonies.

Influenced by Bossa, Calypso, Sri Lankan Baila, reggae and even Bluegrass, their music is bound to get yer' fingers clickin' and foot tickin' as the carnival vibes take hold of ya' soul!

The rhythm section of Barnabas Courtauld (drums) and Malcolm Mah (bass) hold the groove down tight whilst Yudhi Yulius and Rajeev Fernando run amok on guitars. Pavithra Rodrigo tops off the sound with her sublime voice and subtle Tabla beats to bring the listener to musical bliss.

Eucalipto was formed by Rajeev Fernando and Barnabas Courtauld who met whilst recording an album with Perth Reggae band CITYZEN. The music consists of mostly originals written by Rajeev Fernando compiled over many years and reflect his experiences of different musical styles and of different cultures.

So, dance along, sing along, jump in the line 'cos it's carnival time! with Eucalipto!
